The commune has nearly 120km of streams and rivers plus 26 lakes, mostly located in the Mercantour National Park, for trout fishermen’s delight.

Tende Local associations:
Two fishing associations organise the communes fishing limits:
-L’A.A.P.P.M.A DE LA HAUTE ROYA, in liason with the Fédération Départementale.
-L’ASSOCIATION DES PECHEURS DE TENDE, which is a private association.

L’A.A.P.M.A DE LA HAUTE ROYA I.1 TERRITORY :

-Special rules apply
Right bank section of the ROYA limited, upstream, by the BRIGUE  bridge and downstream, by the Paganin power station, situated at the southern most point of the TENDE commune.

- Right bank of the Lévenza for over 300 meters at the limit between TENDE and La BRIGUE communes, upstream from the Roya confluent.

 

2007 LICENCE PRICES:
-Active member 60,00 €
-Active member, already detaining a fishing licence from another company: 32,00 €
-« jeune » pass 12 to 18 yrs: 19,00 €
-« discovery» pass under 12 yrs 4,00 €

 

FISHING CALENDAR:
Every day from Saturday 10 March until Sunday 17 September 2006.

 

ASSOCIATION DES PECHEURS DE TENDE (TENDE FISHERS ASSOCIATION)

TERRITORY: The rest of the commune’s territory.

 

Three dates according to three different territories:
  • 1st course: Open 10th March until closing 16 September 2007.Streams upstream from the MESCHES  EDF dam.
    Except the « No-Kill » reserved section.
    IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO WALK IN THE RIVER BED Until the 15 April so as not to disturb the spawning areas, then the eggs and finally the baby fish.
  • 2nd course: Open Tuesday 1st Maya)
    a) The lakes: MESCHES, CASTERINO and MINIERE as well as upstream streams. The upstream limit on this course is situated at the nearest, first higher mountain lake’s overflow. which is.:
    - For the Valmasque valley: the LAC VERT in Valmasque-For the Minière valley: the LAC SAORGINO
    - For the Fontanalba valley: the LAC des GRENOUILLES and the LAC VERT of Fontanalba. (The valley leading away from the Castorino hotels up to the Lac Vert of Fontanalba is not allowed for fishing. Only off limits required for our association).
    CLOSED Sunday 16th september
    CLOSED lac des Mesches only Sunday 7th OCTOBER
    b)The opening period is from 1st May to 16th September includes THE « NO-KILL » course (1200m long is situated in the lower part of Tende). This course is open to all skill levels already holding any A.A.P.P.M.A. licence from the same French departement.
    Price: 20,00 € Day
    Under 18s : 5,00 €
    For those already in possession of a yearly ASSOCIATION des PECHEURS DE TENDE licence: 8,00 €
  • 3rd course: open Saturday 7th July up to 16th September 2007:To the two later courses you can also take into consideration the 25 lakes in the high mountains and the streams upstream from these- CLOSING DATES: Same for the three courses: 16th September 2007.
    EXCEPT FOR THE LAC DES MESCHES lake: Sunday 10th October 2007  II.4- AUTHORISED FISHING DAYS on private land:
    SATURDAY, SUNDAY, MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY.Thursdays also as of the 1st Saturday in July, only in the high mountain lakes (not in the adjoining valleys) and the « NO-KILL » course.
