Vievola

Vievola is a small hamlet situated at 940m altitude, and part of the Tende district.The Notre Dame de la Visitation chapel was restored in pastel colours. Built thanks to a vow after the 1630 plague epidemic. The church is open only on the religious festival day: first Sunday in July. A procession carrying the Virgin Mary is held the same day and that evening Vievola is host to the ball, featuring local music. The hamlet has two restaurants and a hotel. It is the last village before the Italian border, and therefore the closest to the Limone ski slopes.
